3rd Person Pronoun ‎ (هُوَ)

This first pronoun introduced is for 3rd person pronoun.
‎غَائِب means absent. Therefore the pronoun is used when you’re referring to someone who is absent.
It is also used for singular and masculine.

It usually comes before a noun(refers to man) or even a verb, and becomes the subject.
Example:
هُوَ وَلَدٌ. (He is a boy)

هُوَ يَأْكُلُ. (He is eating)

(x) He is a lion - هُوَ أَسَدٌ
We cannot use this sentence because the noun refers to animals.

Both the nouns and the verbs after it, must be of the same gender with the pronoun. (Masculine & Masculine/ Feminine & Feminine)
